Our goal is to unify the trash contract in Woodwind by extending an offer from Duncan Disposal.
We currently have two vendors servicing sanitation removal in Woodwind Village, GFL Services and Duncan Disposal. These vendors collect on two different days of the week, GFL on Friday and Duncan on Monday. Our experience has been GFL's collection seems to be very inconsistent, cans often left to Saturday before being collected. If we were to consolidate to one vendor, we would see less heavy truck traffic (private roads are our responsibility as homeowners), see waste cans less days of the week at the curbs, and leverage a larger volume for a better rate.
Duncan has put together a package for residents of Woodwind Village and many of our neighbors have jumped aboard. Historically Duncan has provided very consistent service, and the link below makes it very easy to sign up. We're encouraging everyone to join in and switch.
